The AusTQIP Collaboration Agreement is an agreement between all major trauma centres and State/Territory based trauma registries in Australia to contribute in-hospital trauma data according to the Bi-national minimum trauma dataset (BNMTDS). The full agreement was executed in May 2014.

The aims of the agreement are:

  • Share expertise between AusTQIP Collaborators in relation to trauma care by combining trauma data and working together to improve the quality of trauma care, trauma system performance and improve survival and quality of life for injured patients.

  • Establish the Australian Trauma Registry

  • Undertake trauma quality improvement activities.

All Australian sites contributing data have signed this agreement.

New Zealand has joined the ANZTR though a Memorandum of Understanding.
